BRV2S Ductile Iron Pressure Reducing Valve
The Spirax Sarco BRV2S pressure reducing valve is a direct-acting valve suitable for gases such as steam or compressed air. The ductile iron body is available with flange and threaded connections.
The BRV2 pressure reducing valve can be provided with three colors of springs, which can be distinguished by the color of the dial on the adjusting handwheel on the top of the pressure reducing valve. Note: When the set pressure ranges overlap, use a lower range spring for better control.

The BRV2S pressure reducing valve is available in 1⁄2 ", 3⁄4" and 1 "threaded BSP (BS 21 Rp) or NPT.
DN15, DN20 and DN25 flanges EN 1092 PN25.
Please note: BRV2S5 and BRV2B5 do not provide flange connection.
Spirax Sarco BRV2S Regulator Installation Information
The upstream and downstream pipes must have sufficient caliber to avoid excessive pressure drop. All reductions shall use eccentric reduction. Installing a
filter upstream can effectively protect the valve. The
filter is installed on the side to prevent water accumulation in the valve and reduce the effective
filtering area. If it is wet steam, a soda / water trap should be installed upstream. Alternatively, arrange an appropriate drainage point and install a Spirax Sarco trap. Downstream pipes must be fitted with a pressure gauge to set the working pressure. Similarly, install a pressure gauge upstream of the valve if possible.
Threaded connections 1⁄2 ", 3⁄4" and 1 "BSP (BS 21 Rp) or flanged connections DN15, DN20 and DN25 EN 1092 PN25. BRV2SP or BRV2BP Installation recommendations: Use external induction connectors, see service manuals 12 and 12 Sections 3.4 and 3.5 on page 13. The Spirax Sarco BRV2 pressure reducing valve is required to be installed on a horizontal pipe with the adjustment handwheel above or below the valve. Isolation valves installed upstream and downstream of the pressure reducing valve must be decompressed from a distance. The length of the straight pipe section from 8 to 10 times the pipe dia
meter of the valve. Pipe stress due to pipe expansion or insufficient support cannot act on the valve body.
When installing the BRV2 pressure reducing valve, the fluid flow direction should be consistent with the arrow on the valve body.
