Spirax Sarco provides a complete superheated steam temperature reduction and pressure reduction system. Depending on the needs of the application, you can choose a spray type, Venturi or steam atomized desuperheater, as well as the matching Spirax Sarco pressure reduction system and automatic Equipment to control outlet temperature.
The direct injection type is STD series, with simple structure and zero pressure drop, which can make the outlet temperature reach saturation temperature + 5 ℃. STD desuperheater maximum flow adjustment ratio is 3: 1. Suitable for stable load applications.
The Venturi type is a VTD series, with simple operation and low pressure drop. The control is accurate, and the downstream temperature can reach the steam saturation temperature + 3 ℃. The maximum flow adjustment ratio of the VTD desuperheater is 5: 1. Suitable for stable and variable load conditions. The steam spray type is SAD series, which has good cooling water atomization, compact structure and negligible pressure drop. However, high-pressure (1.5 times the pressure of the desuperheater inlet) atomized steam is required. The atomized steam is 2% to 5% of the main steam.
The maximum flow adjustment ratio of the SAD desuperheater is 50: 1. Suitable for applications where steam and cooling water para
meters vary widely.
These three types of desuperheaters are available in dia
meters from DN40 to DN500. Larger dia
meters are available on request. All internal nozzle parts are made of stainless steel. The maximum design condition of the equipment is ANSI600, or designed as required. Connection method is DIN, ANSI standard flange or butt welding.
