Fisher Whisper Trim I cages provide control of aerodynamic noise and are especially suitable for water vapor, gas or steam flow applications. The Whisper Trim I cage uses a number of specially shaped, sized and spaced valve holes to minimize the noise from water vapor, gas or steam flowing through the control valve. Using a Whisper Trim I cage with a properly sized body reduces noise levels significantly below those produced by standard trim valve.

Features
Whisper Trim I cages provide superior noise reduction and high flow capacity. This combines the well-known controls and durability provided by standard Fisher easy-e ™ valve trims for maximum overall performance with minimal investment.
Compared to the same valve with standard trim, using a Whisper Trim I cage in a properly sized valve reduces noise by 18 dBA. An 18 dBA reduction in noise means a reduction in sound intensity of about 98%. This is equivalent to an increase of 24
meters (78 feet) from the noise source.
The quick replacement of the trim allows the cage to be inspected or replaced easily and quickly, without the need to remove the valve body from the pipeline. Interchangeable with cages in all standard easy-e control valve bodies.
Hardened materials provide excellent abrasion resistance.
