Cylinder is a pneumatic actuator that converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into mechanical energy in pneumatic transmission. There are two types of air cylinders: reciprocating linear motion and reciprocating swing. The pressure energy of compressed air is converted into mechanical energy, and the driving mechanism performs linear reciprocating motion, swinging and rotating motion.
The reciprocating linear motion cylinders can be divided into four types: single-acting, double-acting, diaphragm and impact cylinders.
Single-acting cylinder: There is a piston rod at one end only. The air is supplied from the side of the piston to gather energy to generate air pressure. The air pressure pushes the piston to generate thrust and extend.
Double-acting cylinder: Alternate air supply from both sides of the piston, outputting force in one or two directions.
Diaphragm cylinder: Use diaphragm to replace piston, output force in one direction only, and return with spring. Its sealing performance is good, but the stroke is short.
Impact cylinder: This is a new type of element. It converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into the kinetic energy of the piston's high-speed (10-20 m / s) movement, thereby doing work. The impact cylinder adds a middle cover with a spout and a drain. The middle cover and the piston divide the cylinder into three chambers: an air storage chamber, a head chamber and a tail chamber. It is widely used for various operations such as blanking, punching, crushing and forming. The reciprocating swinging cylinder is called a swinging cylinder. The inner cavity is divided into two by blades, and the two chambers are alternately supplied with air. The output shaft swings and the swing angle is less than 280 °. In addition, there are rotary cylinders, gas-liquid damping cylinders and stepping cylinders.

Cylinder structure: 1) Cylinder barrel The inner diameter of the cylinder barrel represents the output force of the cylinder. The piston should slide smoothly back and forth in the cylinder, and the surface roughness of the inner surface of the cylinder should reach Ra0.8um. For steel tube cylinders, the inner surface should also be plated with hard chrome to reduce frictional resistance and wear and to prevent rust. In addition to the high-carbon steel pipe, the cylinder is made of high-strength aluminum alloy and brass. Small cylinders use stainless steel tubes. For cylinders with magnetic switches or cylinders used in corrosion-resistant environments, the cylinder barrel should be made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy or brass. 2) End cap The end cap is provided with air inlet and exhaust vents, and some also have a buffer mechanism in the end cap. The rod-side end cap is provided with a seal ring and a dust ring to prevent air leakage from the piston rod and prevent external dust from mixing into the cylinder. A guide sleeve is provided on the rod-side end cover to improve the guiding accuracy of the cylinder, to withstand a small lateral load on the piston rod, to reduce the amount of bending when the piston rod is extended, and to extend the service life of the cylinder. Guide bushings are usually made of sintered oil-containing alloys and cast forward copper castings. End caps were usually made of malleable cast iron. In order to reduce weight and prevent rust, aluminum alloy die-casting is often used, and miniature cylinders are made of brass.
There are many types of cushioning devices in CHANTO cylinders. The above is just one of them. Of course, measures can be taken on the pneumatic circuit to achieve the cushioning purpose. The combination cylinder generally refers to a gas-liquid damping cylinder, a gas-liquid booster cylinder, etc. formed by combining a cylinder and a hydraulic cylinder. As we all know, the working medium used by the cylinder is usually compressed air, which is characterized by fast movement, but the speed is not easy to control. When the load changes greatly, it is easy to produce "crawling" or "self-propelled" phenomena. The working medium used by the hydraulic cylinder is Generally considered as incompressible hydraulic oil, its characteristics are not as fast as the cylinder, but the speed is easy to control. When the load changes greatly, proper measures are adopted, and generally no "crawling" and "self-propelled" phenomena are generated. Combining the cylinder with the hydraulic cylinder cleverly, and complementing each other's strengths, has become the air-liquid damping cylinder commonly used in pneumatic systems. Actually, the cylinder and the hydraulic cylinder are connected in series, and the two pistons are fixed on the same piston rod. The hydraulic cylinder does not need a pump to supply oil, as long as it is filled with oil, a hydraulic check valve, a throttle valve and an oil supply cup are installed between the inlet and the outlet. When the right end of the cylinder supplies air, the cylinder overcomes the load to drive the hydraulic cylinder piston to the left (the left end of the cylinder exhausts). At this time, the left end of the hydraulic cylinder discharges oil, the check valve closes, and the oil can only flow into the right cavity of the hydraulic cylinder through the throttle valve and In the oil cup, if the throttle valve port is opened at this time, the left chamber of the hydraulic cylinder will drain oil smoothly and the two pistons will move quickly. Conversely, if the throttle valve port is closed, the left chamber of the hydraulic cylinder will drain oil. Obstruction, the speed of the two pistons will slow down. In this way, the speed of the piston can be controlled by adjusting the opening of the throttle valve. It can be seen that the output force of the gas-hydraulic damping cylinder should be the difference between the force (thrust or pull) generated by the compressed air in the cylinder and the damping force of the oil in the hydraulic cylinder.
