The self-operated flow control valve is structurally a two-valve combination consisting of a manual regulator valve block and an automatic balancing valve block, as shown in Figure 1. The purpose of the manual adjustment valve group is to set the flow rate. The function of the automatic balance valve group is to maintain a constant flow rate.

For the manual adjustment valve group, KV in the flow rate G=P2-P3 is the flow coefficient of the valve port of the manual control valve, and P2-P3 is the pressure difference on both sides of the valve port of the manual adjustment valve. The size of Kv depends on the opening degree, the opening degree is fixed, and Kv is a constant, so as long as P2-P3 does not change, the flow rate G does not change. The constant P2-P3 is controlled by the automatic balancing valve block. For example, if the inlet and outlet pressure difference P1-P3 is increased, the automatic balancing valve group is closed by the action of the pressure sensitive membrane and the spring, so that P1-P2 is increased, thereby maintaining the P2-P3 constant; otherwise, the P1-P3 is decreased. Then, the automatic balancing valve group is opened to reduce P1-P2 and maintain the constant P2-P3.

Each opening of the manual adjustment valve group corresponds to a flow rate, and the relationship between the opening degree and the flow rate is calibrated by the test bench test, and is equipped with an opening display and a locking device.
