Indirect Features of Mass Flow Meters - Focus on Microfluidic Control Technology

The mass flow meter is an important flow meter. Direct measurement of the medium passing through the flow meter, as well as indirect measurement of the medium temperature by measuring the density meter of the medium, is widely used in many fields. It mainly has two types, direct and indirect. What are the characteristics of the indirect flow meter?
      1 When selecting a mass flow meter, it should first consider whether it is direct or indirect. It can be considered according to the performance characteristics, application range, accuracy requirements and cost of the two mass flow meters.
      2 For liquid flow measurement, the density-volume flow method, the temperature-volume flow method or the dual flow meter method can be used. Pressure correction is generally not required because the effect on liquid density is negligible over the range of normal pressure variations.
      3 The density-volume flow method should consider the adaptability of the selected density meter to the measured fluid. There are two ways to connect the density of the fluid in the pipeline of the density meter. One is to insert the densitometer directly into the pipeline. The other is to connect the densitometer to the split pipe of the main pipe.
      4 Due to the small range of differential pressure flowmeter in the dual flowmeter method, the range of use is affected, but the dual flowmeter method can solve the problem of not having a suitable density meter when measuring gas.
      5 When measuring gas, the pressure/temperature-volume flow method is most common.
      Due to the variety of mass flow meters, such as flow computers, flow display totalizers with computing functions, and intelligent flow totalizers, the functions vary widely, so you should ask the manufacturer for details when selecting. Some models are only suitable for measurements such as air that are closer to the ideal gas, while others are available for natural gas and steam.
