Ultrasonic Flow Meter Overview - Focus on Microfluidic Control Technology
Ultrasonic waves carry information on the flow rate of the fluid when it travels in a flowing fluid. Therefore, the flow velocity of the fluid can be detected by the received ultrasonic wave, so that it can be converted into a flow rate to measure the flow rate of the fluid. According to the detection method, it can be divided into different types of ultrasonic flowmeters such as differential propagation velocity method, Doppler method, beam offset method, noise method, and correlation method. Compared with traditional flowmeters, ultrasonic flowmeters have obvious technologies. Application advantages: 1. Ultrasonic flowmeters can be used for non-contact measurement. This is a unique advantage of ultrasonic flowmeters in industrial flow meters, so it can be used for mobility (ie, fixed-point fixed installation) measurements, suitable for pipe network flow assessment. 2. Ultrasonic flowmeter is measured without flow resistance without additional pressure loss. 3. The meter dilution of the flow meter can be calculated from the actual measurement of the pipe and channel geometry size, and there is generally no real flow verification outside the measured pipe section, which means that the “dry calibration” can be performed. 4. Ultrasonic flowmeters are suitable for large round pipes and giant pipes, and in principle are not limited by the pipe diameter, and their cost is basically independent of the pipe diameter. For large pipes, it is not only convenient, but it is considered to be a preferred option when real-flow verification cannot be achieved. 5. Ultrasonic flowmeters measure non-conductive liquids and complement electromagnetic flowmeters without obstructing flow measurements.
