Flat gate valves are mainly used in petroleum, refined oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and tap water projects. Different types and types of flat gate valves are selected for different occasions.
The flat gate valve adopts a floating valve seat, which can be opened and closed in both directions, with reliable sealing and flexible opening and closing. The gates are provided with guide bars for precise guidance. At the same time, the sealing surfaces are spray welded with hard alloy to resist erosion. The valve body has a high bearing capacity, the passage is straight through, and when fully opened, it is similar to the gate guide hole and straight pipe, and the flow resistance is very small. The valve stem uses composite packing and multiple seals, which makes the seal reliable and low friction.
When closing the valve, turn the handwheel clockwise, and the gate moves down to the bottom. Due to the effect of the medium pressure, the inlet seal seat is pushed toward the gate to form a larger sealing specific pressure, thereby forming a road seal. At the same time, the gate is pressed against the outlet seal seat to become a double seal.
Due to the double seal, the consumables can be replaced without affecting the work of the pipeline.
Selection principle of flat gate valve in different applications:
1.Single gate or double gate flat gate valves are used for oil and gas transmission pipelines. If you need to clean the pipeline, use single gate or double gate open-rod flat gate valve with diversion holes;
2. The single-disc or double-disc flat gate valve without diversion holes is used for the pipeline and storage equipment of refined oil;
3. The wellhead device for oil and gas production is a single-gate or double-gate flat gate valve with a dark rod floating valve seat and a diversion hole;
4. Knife flat gate valve is used for pipelines with suspended particulate media;
5. Single-disc or double-disc soft-sealed open-rod flat gate valves are used for urban gas transmission pipelines;
6. Single-disc or double-disc open-bar flat-bar gate valve is used for urban water supply projects.
