How to choose an electromagnet?

A. electromagnet output requirements
1. stroke / strength
-- what is the stroke: the displacement of the slider relative to the full suction position.
- electromagnetic iron will generate power when it is electrified. The size of the force varies with the size of the stroke. The general rule is that the larger the stroke, the smaller the force. The ideal state is: the force / stroke curve generated by the electromagnet, which just meets the strength / stroke curve of the application demand.

2. electromagnet response time
Definition: starting from the voltage applied to the electromagnet, and the time required to complete the displacement when the slide bar is completed.
3. load cycle Duty Cycle={power on time On time/ (power on time On time + power failure Off time)}X100%.
4. the longest electric time of the electromagnet - the electromagnet is heated by the electric excitation, the load cycle or the longest time and the power of the electromagnet determines the temperature rise of the electromagnet. - the temperature rise of the electromagnet at work and the ambient temperature of the working time determine the selection of the material edge grade of the electromagnet. (insulation grade corresponds to temperature c A=105, E=120, B=130, F=155, H=180, N=200, C=220+).

B. electromagnet input condition

1. power types & power applications may have: AC/DC (constant voltage source, constant current source, battery, dry battery, DC generator, capacitance), rectification filtering mode, voltage range, maximum available current and so on.
2. using diode rectifier: in the application of electromagnet, if the current power is AC AC, the rectifier needs to be converted to DC. In principle, the full wave rectifying type should be designed. The reverse peak voltage of the rectifying element should be three times the drive voltage of the electromagnet.
The 3. force is proportional to the current (power) in a certain range, but the force will no longer increase with the current (power) after the magnets reach the magnetic saturation, but at the same time, the temperature rise increases with the current (power).

C. environmental factors and life span
Environmental factors and life needs are important considerations in the selection of electromagnet materials and surface treatments.
Environmental factors include temperature, humidity, magnetic field or electric field, gas, liquid and solid contamination or corrosion, impact vibration, vibration and so on.
D. connection mode: installation, power, load and size

1. installation connection: a). External bolt B). Screw hole C on the electromagnet case. Insert the card slot.
Install the connection diagram
2. power supply to connect a). Lead b). Lead + terminal C). Fast connect pin.
