Common reasons for bearing heat during vacuum pump operation
Since the vacuum
pump is formed at a high speed, the rotor speed is too fast to form a bearing that supports the rotor. There are usually several reasons for bearing overheating during vacuum
pump operation:
1. Valve plate cracking: When a valve plate is cracked, the pressure on both sides of the impeller will be unbalanced, the axial force will occur in the rotor, and the bearing load will be intensified. The long-term operation will increase the bearing temperature. In this case, the valve plate should be replaced in time.
2. Failure of the shaft end seal: When the shaft end seal packing is damaged or the sealed water hole is blocked, air will be drawn into the
pump body from these damaged gaps, which will form the suction and exhaust performance of the
pump. If only one side of the seal fails, the pressure imbalance on both sides of the impeller will be formed, and the axial force of the rotor will increase the bearing load, thereby increasing the bearing temperature.
3, the bearing pre-tightening force is too large: this situation will promote the bearing clearance reduction or no play, forming the bearing temperature.
4, sensation: When the
pump body or bearing sensation is large, the bearing temperature will be too high, look at the
pump body to find the cause of the sensation, eliminate the sensation, then the bearing temperature will recover.
5, smooth appearance: smooth fat increase is too large or too small, or smooth grease type does not meet, its use time is too long or smooth grease will be contaminated will form bearing heat. At this moment, you should check the smooth grease type, ask the manufacturer the appropriate amount, adjust the smooth grease to recover the bearing temperature.
6, bearing damage: Bearing rolling body and bearing cage damage will be accompanied by the appearance of bearing overheating. Bearing damage is necessary to replace the new bearing in time.
