Description of the relationship between rubber seals and high temperature
High temperature is the most important factor in the aging failure of rubber seals. The data shows that the rubber aging rate increases by 2.6 times for every 10 °C increase in temperature. When the rubber sealing material is stimulated by high temperature, the molecular chain of the internal polymer breaks to form a very active radical, which further causes cracking or cross-linking of the rubber polymer chain and causes it to change. Lead to deterioration of rubber polymer materials. Aging causes an increase in unrecoverable residual cumulative deformation in the rubber material, that is, a decrease in elastic deformation, resulting in a decrease in sealing ability and eventually leakage. In the plateau desert and the southeast coastal areas, the rubber parts are affected by high temperatures. If the time is too long under high temperature conditions, the rubber seal will fail.
