How to correctly select the material description of the electromagnetic flowmeter

As a commonly used flow measuring instrument, electromagnetic flowmeter is also an important factor in the choice of its material. In the electromagnetic flowmeter, the part that is in contact with the medium has only the inside of the electrode and the measuring tube, so according to the characteristics of different media, it is necessary to select the correct electrode and the lining material.
First, the choice of electrode materials
Generally, the electrode materials are divided into the following types:
1. Stainless steel (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti). Suitable for nitric acid, less than 5% sulfuric acid at room temperature, boiling phosphoric acid, formic acid, alkali solution, sulfurous acid, seawater, acetic acid under a certain pressure.
2. Hastelloy B, Hastelloy C. Can be used in sea water, salt water.
3. Titanium. Suitable for seawater, various chlorides and hypochlorinated hydrochloric acid, oxidizing acids (including fuming nitric acid), organic acids, alkalis, etc.
4. Hey. The remaining chemical media other than hydrofluoric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, and alkali, including boiling point hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and <175 ° C sulfuric acid can be used.
5. Platinum. Can be used in a variety of acids, bases, salts, but does not include aqua regia.
Second, the choice of lining materials
Another important material choice for electromagnetic flowmeters is how to accurately select the lining material. It must be noted that the lining material should be selected based on the aggressiveness, wear and temperature of the medium being tested.
1. Rubber. It has excellent elasticity, high tearing force, good wear resistance, resistance to general weak acid and weak alkali corrosion, and can measure water, sewage, mud and pulp.
2. Polyurethane. It has excellent wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and can measure medium-strong and strong wear of coal slurry, mud and slurry.
3. Polytetrafluoroethylene. Boiling hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, concentrated alkali and various organic solvents, good wear resistance and poor bonding performance.
The above is the choice of the material of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Different media have different characteristics, and it is not necessary to choose the most expensive one. It is economical and durable to choose the right one.
