What are the advantages and disadvantages of electromagnetic flowmeters?
The first is the disadvantage of electromagnetic flowmeter
1. Can not measure gas, steam and liquids containing more large bubbles. 2. It is not possible to measure liquids with low conductivity, such as petroleum products and organic solvents. 3. Due to the limitation of lining materials and electrical insulation materials, it cannot be used for liquids with higher temperatures.
The measuring channel of the electromagnetic flowmeter is a smooth straight pipe with an unobstructed flow detecting component. It is suitable for measuring liquid-solid two-phase fluids containing solid particles or fibers, such as pulp, coal water slurry, slurry, mud and sewage, because it is not suitable for blocking. (Note: Plug-in electromagnetic flowmeters are different) Since the induced voltage signal is formed in the entire magnetic field-filled space and is the average value on the pipe surface, the sensor requires a short straight pipe section and a pipe diameter of 5 times. Measurement accuracy is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity. The sensor induced voltage signal is linear with the average flow rate, so measurement accuracy is high. There is no obstruction in the measuring pipe, so there is no additional pressure loss; there is no moving parts in the measuring pipe, so the sensor has a very long life. The pressure loss caused by the detection of the flow rate is not generated, and the resistance of the meter is only the resistance of the pipeline of the same length, and the energy saving effect is remarkable, and it is most suitable for the large diameter water supply pipeline which requires low resistance loss. In the electromagnetic flow sensor part, only the inner liner and the electrode are in contact with the liquid to be tested. As long as the electrode and the lining material are properly selected, corrosion resistance and wear resistance can be achieved. Two-way measurement system that measures forward flow and reverse flow.
