What are the characteristics of the V-cone flowmeter itself? How do we install it when we use it? V Cone Flowmeter Principle Technical Features 1. Fluid flow shaping The flow rate calculations for the V-cone flowmetersensor are similar to those of other differential pressure (DP) meters, but the V-cone geometry is completely different from the conventional differential pressure meter. The V-cone flow sensor is a centrally constricted fluid that mounts the cone on the pipe. 2. Accuracy The V-cone flow sensor achieves a primary component accuracy of ±0.5%. The accuracy of the flow measurement system depends on the accuracy of the V-cone flow sensor and the differential pressure transmitter. Secondary instrument accuracy and so on. 3. Good repeatability V cone flow sensor repeatability can reach ± 0.1%, or better. 4. Wide range ratio The V-cone flow sensor has a much higher range than conventional differential pressure meters. A typical V cone range ratio is 10:1, and a larger range ratio is also achievable. Flowmeters can also generate differential pressure signals when the Reynolds number is as low as 8000. Therefore, the lower Reynolds number range fluid can be measured. 5. Straight pipe installation requirements are low The fluid flow state of the pipeline during actual installation is rarely ideal. If the flow meter is installed in a pipeline where the fluid flow cannot be fully developed, such as elbow, valve, shrinkage or expansion, the three-way joint head will interfere with the development of the flow. 6. Long-term stability is good Since the V cone has a contour that the contracting fluid does not impact the abrupt surface, a boundary layer is formed along the surface of the cone to direct the fluid away from the p-side. This means that the p-side is not subject to wear by dirty fluids, but the V-cone sharp edges are often subject to wear. Therefore, the coefficient remains the same, and the V-cone flowmetersensor has the characteristics of good long-term stability. 7. Good signal stability Differential pressure meters generally have "signal fluctuations", even if the flow rate is stable, the signal generated by a primary component will have a certain amount of fluctuation. For example, a V-cone flowmeter creates a long, turbulent flow behind the V-cone. This eddy current will produce high amplitude, low-frequency V-cone signals, and interfere with the flowmeter's readings. 8. The fluid has a low permanent pressure loss 9. V cones have a wide range of calculations Because the V-cone flow sensor has a unique geometry of the V-cone, it has a wide range of p-factors. The standard yields a range of 3 coefficients: 0.45, 0.55, 0.65, 0.75, 0.85. 10. There is no stagnant area in the flow sensor Because the V-cone flow sensor is designed to measure the flow of fluid through the V-cone “swipe over”, it is impossible to have particles, residues, and condensation deposits in the fluid in the tube. It has a self-cleaning function and is suitable for flow measurement of dirty fluids. Two: V cone flow meter installation note: 1, before installation, must undergo metrological verification. In the case of confirming compliance with various technical indicators, it can be installed strictly in accordance with the installation requirements of the signal pipeline and differential pressure gauge. For different mediums, we must need to refer to the relevant standards for different installation and identification, to achieve a one-to-one correspondence. 2. When it is put into use, air must be excluded in the exhaust valve at the highest point of the signal pipeline 3, regularly clean the signal pipeline, and differential pressure flowmeter, clear all debris. 4. Before using the input, check the zero position. When checking the zero position, close the two pressure guiding valves on the instrument valve and open the balancing valve. If the zero offset is found, the cause should be checked and adjusted. 5. If the V-cone flowmeter differential pressure flowmeter is found to have a significant difference between the measured value and the measured value, it should be thoroughly inspected and adjusted, and the metrological verification should be repeated.
