The main source of magnetic materials for neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets are rare earth metal antimony, metal element iron, and non-metallic element boron. The NdFeB ternary permanent magnetic material uses Nd2Fe14B compound as a matrix, and its composition should be similar to that of compound Nd2Fe14B. However, the magnetic properties of the magnets are very low and even non-magnetic when they are completely distributed according to the ratio of Nd2Fe14B. Only when the content of antimony and boron in the actual magnet is higher than that of the Nd2Fe14B compound (ie, the cerium-rich phase and the boron-rich phase are formed), better permanent magnet performance can be obtained.
