Iron-aluminum-silicon soft magnetic alloy has high initial magnetic permeability

A soft magnetic alloy with a very high initial permeability, containing 9.5% silicon and 5.6% aluminum. The balance is iron. Due to poor processing, only castings can be made and powdered products can also be made. Such alloys have low coercive force and hysteresis loss, high resistivity, low eddy current loss, good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, high hardness and wear resistance, and magnetic properties are insensitive to stress. Mainly used as a magnetic head in the as-cast state, it can also be made into a powder magnetic core of a high-frequency inductor coil.
