What is the applicable temperature of the materials used in different valves?

The media temperatures for different valve body and bonnet materials are as follows:

The medium used for gray cast iron body and bonnet is up to 250 °C.

Suitable for medium for malleable cast iron body and bonnets up to 300 °C.

Ductile iron body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 350 °C.

The high silicon cast iron body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 120 °C.

Carbon steel body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 425 ° C (forging 16 Mn, 30 Mn up to 450 ° C).

Cr5Mo alloy steel body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 550 °C.

1Cr18Ni9Ti and Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti stainless steel body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 600 °C.

Copper alloy valve bodies and bonnets are suitable for media up to 200 °C.

Titanium body and bonnet are suitable for media up to 300 °C.

    Medium for plastic valve body and bonnet Maximum use temperature: nylon 100 ° C, chlorinated polyether 100 ° C, polyvinyl chloride 60 ° C, polychlorotrifluoroethylene -60 ~ 120 ° C, polytetrafluoroethylene - 180 ~ 150 ° C .

    Depending on the type of rubber, natural rubber 60 ° C; nitrile rubber, neoprene 80 ° C; fluoro rubber 150 ~ 200 ° C.

Most high vacuum valves use soft-sealed nitrile rubber or fluoro rubber, which guarantees zero leakage of the valve; the sealing performance is strong, but the temperature resistance is limited by the material of the sealing ring, and the maximum medium temperature cannot exceed 220 °C.
