Microfluidic Control Technology - Description of the treatment method of compressed air
The used compressed air must be emptied, such as re-setting or reverse-moving the control element. Generally, the used compressed air is discharged from the closed container to the atmosphere. Sometimes to reduce noise, you also need to install a silencer. For better noise reduction, the
filter in the silencer should be as large as possible.
For compressed air containing lubricating oil, the lubricating oil must be removed before emptying.
Silencers are generally composed of plastic parts, cermets and felts.
When choosing a silencer, the following factors should be considered:
■ Size of the threaded interface
■ Installation space
■ Installation environment
■ Allowable noise intensity
■ Minimum flow of compressed air
■ Contamination of compressed air
