The valve seat is on the valve body, and the valve stem drives the opening and closing parts (valve flaps) of the valve to perform lifting movements, and the valve flap is separated from the valve seat to open and close the valve.
The opening and closing mechanism consists of a flap (also called a valve disc, a spool), a stem and a drive device (hand wheel). The valve stem is screwed on the valve cap with a trapezoidal thread, the hand wheel and the valve disc are fixed on the upper and lower ends of the valve stem, the hand wheel is turned, and the valve stem can be raised or lowered to drive the valve flap close to or leave the valve seat to close and Open, valve flap and valve seat closely matched, rely on the pressure of the valve stem to press the valve flap on the valve seat, then the valve is fully closed, the valve does not leak tightly.
