Mechanical seal installation instructions

1. Check whether the model and specifications of the mechanical seal to be installed are correct.
2. Check whether the dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy and mutual relationship of the parts related to the installation of the main machine and the mechanical seal meet the technical requirements. There are mainly the following aspects:
(1) Radial runout tolerance of the shaft (or bushing) on which the mechanical seal is installed, and surface finish and outer diameter dimensional tolerance of the shaft (or bushing).
(2) The sealing cavity and the gland are combined with the positioning end face to the vertical deviation of the center line of the shaft (or bushing).
(3) Install the end of the shaft (or bushing) of the moving ring seal ring, and chamfer and finish the end structure of the housing hole in which the mechanical seal is installed.
(4) Axial displacement when the shaft of the mechanical seal is working.
3. During the process of installing the mechanical seal, it should be kept clean and the sealing element should not be hit with a tool to prevent damage and damage.
4. When installing, the surface of the moving and static ring should be coated with a layer of clean engine oil and turbine oil. Auxiliary seals (including moving ring seals and static ring seals) should also be coated with a clean oil or turbine oil before installation to ensure a smooth installation.
5. Put the static ring seal ring on the back of the static ring and put it into the sealed end cover. Be careful not to hurt the end face of the static ring. Make sure that the end face of the static ring is perpendicular to the center line of the end cover, and pay attention to the anti-rotation groove on the back of the static ring. Align anti-reverse pins, but not in contact.
6. The rotating part of the mechanical seal is fixed to the shaft by the two fixing screws on the spring seat. When tightening the fixing screw, the working length of the spring must be ensured.
