Sealing knowledge: classification and storage of common seals
The seal ring is a material or a part that prevents liquid or solid particles from leaking from adjacent joint faces and prevents foreign matter (dust, moisture, etc.) from intruding into the inside of the machine equipment. The performance factors of various seals are different. For example, the factors affecting the rubber seal are temperature, medium, speed, and pressure.

Seals can be classified according to different standards:

1. Classification by action: divided into piston rod seal, piston seal, dust seal, rotary seal, spring tension seal, guide belt, base seal (O-ring, star ring, retaining ring, combination gasket, ED ring) Pneumatic seal

2, according to the material classification: rubber sealing ring (butyl, fluoro rubber, silica gel, EPDM, perfluoroether), polyurethane sealing ring, PTFE seal

Storage of the seal:

1. The storage temperature of the sealing ring should not be higher than 30 degrees Celsius to prevent high temperature aging;

2. The sealing ring must be tightly packed to prevent contact with moisture, dust, etc. of the air;

3. The seal should be protected from strong light and prevent ozone corrosion or aging in the seal.
