Brief introduction to the application of the flowmeter on the filling device system
During the filling process, the liquid level in the surge tank fluctuates. When a slight change occurs, it will cause a change in the fluid flow in the pipeline. This change does not cause an error during the operation recorded by the flowmeter; however, in the end of the filling process, the actual action of the valve lags behind the electromagnetic flowmeter. The action, the electromagnetic flowmeter stops counting, but the valve does not immediately close, the liquid level fluctuates during the closing action, and an error will occur at this time. In this experiment, the fluid is a continuous medium, the motion is continuous, and the fluid quality during the inflow and outflow in the surge tank and the pipeline is equal. So the fluid is a continuous, incompressible, steady flow in this device, in accordance with the Bernoulli equation. Local head loss is head loss due to local resistance. When the liquid flows through the valve of the pipeline, suddenly expands, suddenly shrinks, etc., due to the sharp change of the boundary conditions, the flow velocity also changes, and then the vortex generates local resistance, causing local head loss. This type of head loss is generally concentrated in a small range, regardless of the length of the pipe. In summary, during the closing process of the filling start valve, due to the fluctuation of the liquid level, the flow rate will be changed, which will bring the filling error.
