Introduction to the measurement principle of electromagnetic flowmeter
Electromagnetic flowmeter: measuring flow based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction U=B*L*v U-induced electromotive force B-magnetic field strength L-conductor length v-conductor speed The coil wound by the copper wire produces an alternating magnetic field B. The controlled current ensures that the magnetic field strength remains constant throughout the measurement. The length L of the conductor (the distance between the two measuring electrodes of the inner diameter of the measuring tube) is a constant. The variable of ****** in the equation is the flow velocity v of the fluid. The meter can directly measure the induced voltage between the electrodes, and the induced voltage is linearly proportional to the fluid fractional velocity U~v. Then the flow rate is obtained, and the electromagnetic flowmeter measures not the volume but the flow rate. The flow rate is converted to volume flow: Q=v*A Q-volume flow v-liquid flow rate A-flowmeter cross-sectional area From this, the volumetric flow rate of the liquid in the pipe is calculated.
