The main points of the installation position of the turbine flowmeter

1. The flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the pipeline is inclined within 50). When installing, the flowmeter axis should be concentric with the pipeline axis and the flow direction should be consistent. The length of the pipeline upstream of the flowmeter should have a straight pipe section of not less than 2D. If the installation site is sufficient, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe section is 20D and the downstream pipe section is 5D.

2. The inner and downstream pipes of the flowmeter installation point have the same inner diameter as the inside diameter of the flowmeter.

3. In order to ensure that the flowmeter does not affect the normal use of the medium during maintenance, a shut-off valve (stop valve) should be installed on the front and rear pipelines of the flowmeter, and a bypass pipe should be installed. The flow control valve should be installed downstream of the flowmeter. When the flowmeter is in use, the upstream shut-off valve must be fully open to avoid unstable flow in the upstream part of the fluid.

4. The flowmeter is best installed indoors. When it is necessary to install it outdoors, it must be protected from sun, rain and lightning protection to avoid affecting the service life.

5. To ensure the service life of the flowmeter, install a filter in front of the straight pipe section of the flowmeter.

6. The flowmeter should be installed in a place that is easy to maintain and has no strong electromagnetic interference or heat radiation.

7. The user is equipped with a pair of standard flanges welded to the front and rear pipes. Do not allow welding with a flow meter! Before installing the flowmeter, the dirt such as welding slag in the pipeline should be strictly removed. It is better to use a pipe of equal diameter (or bypass pipe) instead of the flowmeter to purge the pipeline. To ensure that the flowmeter is not damaged during use. When installing the flowmeter, the gasket between the flanges should not be recessed into the pipe.

8. The flowmeter should be grounded reliably and cannot be shared with the ground of the high-power system.
