First, the failure of the detection side components and electronic components
After a long period of operation, some electronic components may fail to reach the end of their life, causing the instrument to malfunction.
Second, the damage of impurities in the medium
After long-term work, the dirt in the fluid is attached to the inner wall of the measuring tube, the surface of the generating body and the inner wall of the instrument transformer, the surface of the generating body and the surface of the detecting element, and the geometrical parameters of the measuring tube and the generating body are changed. The error is increased, the sensitivity of the detecting element is lowered, and the amplitude of the signal is reduced, thereby causing the failure of the detecting element.
Third, lightning damage
It is a common fault that field instruments are damaged by lightning strikes during the thunderstorm season. Lightning strikes induce transient high-voltage spikes and powerful inrush currents in the transmission line, breaking down or burning electronic components in the converter. This type of lightning strike is mainly introduced through power lines and signal lines.
Fourth, environmental reasons
Long-term corrosion of corrosive gases and moisture in the environment causes the insulation resistance of the detecting element to decrease, and corrosion of some electronic components, terminals, and ground terminals, so that the contact resistance of the connector increases, and the transmission signal is attenuated.
