How is the Q value standard of the inductor defined? _Inductor coil_Electromagnetic coil
How is the Q value standard of the inductor defined? In the LC vibration circuit, the amplitude of the vibration voltage or current is constant under the ambition, and therefore, equal amplitude vibration occurs, but actually the presence of the DC resistance of the inductance causes the amplitude of the vibration voltage or current to gradually decrease. The reduction depends on how much energy is converted and energy consumed in each cycle. We multiply the ratio of the converted energy to the energy consumed in each cycle by 2π (for accounting convenience) as a physical measure to measure the speed of vibration attenuation. It is called the quality factor, and Q is used to calculate that Q=ωL/r=√(L/C)/r.
