Steam separator function and installation instructions

working principle:
 The steam-water separator works by causing the steam or compressed air to suddenly change direction in the flow, separating the water droplets contained in the steam or compressed air, and reducing the water content in the steam or compressed air. The separated water droplets are collected under the separator and discharged through an additional trap. The steam-water separator can ensure the steam or air drying of the steam equipment, improve the working efficiency of the steam equipment, and prolong the service life of the equipment.

1. According to the changes of steam pressure and water pressure, the steam inlet can be automatically adjusted to overcome the defects of vibration and noise.

Installation Notes:
1. Before installation, the pipeline must be purged with pressurized gas to remove dirt and debris.
 2. The separator should be installed at a lower position of the steam line, and a shut-off valve is recommended before and after the separator.
3. Installation direction: the arrow on the valve body points in the same direction as the fluid in the pipe (the arrow on the valve body points to the fluid outlet port)
4. The steam trap should be installed in the lower part of the steam separator. The steam trap should be selected according to the displacement and working conditions.
5. In order to prevent the steam separator and the lower trap from malfunctioning due to dirt blockage, it is recommended to install a filter before the trap and clean it regularly to ensure the maximum efficiency of the equipment.

Applications:
 The steam-water separator is a carbon steel or stainless steel device with a pressure vessel structure. The steam-water separator must be installed on a horizontal pipeline. The drain port is vertically downward. All the steam-water separators with diameters are equipped with mounting brackets to reduce the pipeline load. To ensure rapid discharge of the separated liquid, a suitable set of traps should be connected to the drain at the bottom of the separator. Steam-water separators are used in steam, compressed air, and other gas systems to remove moisture from systems such as steam, air, or gas. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.

Security Information:
 The device must be properly installed and qualified to be commissioned and maintained in accordance with the operating instructions for safe operation. Use tools and security measures correctly. Follow the installation and safety guidelines when installing pipes and equipment.
 Isolation: Failure to close the isolation valve during installation and repair will cause damage to the components of the system and cause harm to the human body. The dangers include: closing the protection device and the air passage or alarm system. Make sure the isolation valve is closed to avoid system shock.
 pressure:
 Before maintenance and repair, consider whether there is media in the pipeline. Ensure that the pressure medium is isolated and the safety air passage is open to the atmosphere before servicing the product. This is easily solved by installing the vent valve. Do not consider the system to drain even if the gauge indicates zero.
 temperature:
 After closing the isolation valve, it is necessary to keep the operating part temperature close to normal temperature for a period of time to avoid burns. Protective jackets are a must.
 Disposal:
 The product can be recycled. Proper handling will not cause ecological problems. Note: Read the Safety Information in Section 1 carefully before proceeding with the installation.
1. Check the maximum value of material, pressure and temperature. If the maximum operating condition of the product is lower than the system it is installed on, make sure the system

2. Check that the installation location and flow direction are correct.
3. Remove the protective cover from all interfaces.

5. Install AS
Installed on a horizontal pipe with the drain port facing vertically downwards. All diameter separators are equipped with mounting brackets to reduce pipe loading, with two drilled holes on each bracket.
 In order to ensure that the separator liquid is drained as quickly as possible, the drain port must be connected to a suitable drain valve or steam trap. A float trap is recommended. The float trap has the characteristics of water and drain.
 6. Commissioning
 Ensure that the system is fully operational after installation or repair. Test on an alarm or protection device.
7. Run
 A separator is used to collect and separate small droplets contained in the gas/vapor stream. The relatively heavy droplets fall into the separator discharge port after impacting the inner baffle and are removed from the system by a steam trap, such as for an air or gas distribution system, using a drain valve to remove.
8. Maintenance
 Please read the Safety Information in Section 1 carefully before performing any maintenance operations. No internal parts need to be repaired!
