Fault Analysis and Processing of Smart Waste Water Meter - Focus on Microfluidic Control Technology
a. Incorrect installation of sewage flow meter introduces errors.
Installed in the vicinity of strong external electromagnetic fields, for example, large motors, high-power inverters, large transformers and other equipment, so that there is a strong stray current in the measurement tube, affecting the accuracy of the measurement. It is recommended to use electromagnetic shielding, good grounding and other measures.
The length of the straight pipe section upstream and downstream of the sewage flow meter is not enough, and the fluid flow is not fully developed turbulent flow. It is recommended to add a flow regulator for the change of the induced electromotive force.
There is a low-frequency pulsating flow in the process section, for example, impeller blade rotation, etc., so that the flow appears low-frequency oscillation. To this end, the flowmeter should be installed away from the vibration source.
The pipeline becomes a two-phase flow. For example, the measured liquid contains gas, and the gas to be tested contains liquid. Before the measuring tube, the liquid is not drained and exhausted, resulting in a change in conductivity, introducing a measurement error. The fluid contains solid particles, causing slurry noise. The discharge valve should be installed at the lowest point of the measuring pipe section, and the exhaust valve should be installed at the highest position of the pipe section.
Sewage flowmeters are not well grounded and are damaged by lightning surge currents. Therefore, for the sewage flowmeter, it must be well grounded according to the product specification and the grounding ring should be well connected.
Unsuitable electrode materials are used to generate electrode surface effects with the fluid.
Improper installation location, for example, at the point of injection into the solution point or downstream of the pipe reactor section, makes the conductivity of the fluid non-uniform and introduces errors. For this reason, there should be enough pipe segments downstream of the injection solution point or pipe reactor section to make the fluid. Mix thoroughly.
Installed in a non-full pipe location, for example, vertical pipes from top to bottom; liquid without back pressure directly drains the atmosphere.
The installed process piping and the inner diameter of the flowmeter measuring tube are too different. When installing, the axis is eccentric or the installed gasket protrudes into the piping.
b. Improper use of sewage flow meters introduces errors.
The dirt carried by the fluid contaminates the electrode, or the conductivity of the adherent is inconsistent with the conductivity of the fluid, making the measurement inaccurate. Filters should be installed to remove contaminants and clean the electrodes.
The fluid is a pulsating flow that causes output fluctuations. The sewage flow meter should be installed away from the source of the pulsating flow, eg away from it, etc., and a damping or buffer vessel should be installed. For the control valve installed downstream of the flow meter, the controller parameters should be adjusted so that Its opening changes smoothly.
Sewage flow meters operate in a non-full pipe state without using non-full pipe operation measures, causing measurement errors.
Signal cables and power cables are mixed and laid without isolation measures, causing electromagnetic interference. It should be laid separately, with good grounding. The flowmeter was hit by lightning, causing damage to the flowmeter.
Signal cable insulation down, or short circuit, grounding, etc., should regularly check the cable insulation, unqualified cable and replacement.
Sensor failure. Wrong wiring, sensor cable not using special cable or damaged cable, converter failure, etc.
Lining damage, insulation degradation, electrode damage, measurement errors, or failure to use. Replace and recalibrate.
