AK-Industries, AK Industries was founded in 1995 by Allan Kidd, who is the sole owner. Previously, he was a long-term product manager for the underwater division of Burton Electrical Engineering. Mr. Kidd maintains his relationship with the technical advisor of Burton (now Cooper Interconnect). AK Industries and Burton share many of the same distributors and collaborate on trade shows and special projects.
