This solenoid valve is used to control the opening or closing of the gas pipeline. The movable iron core in the solenoid valve coil is attracted and moved by the coil when the valve is energized, and drives the spool to move to change the conduction state of the valve.

First, the cause of the solenoid valve coil heating

When the coil of the solenoid valve is in the working state (energized), the core is attracted to form a closed magnetic circuit. That is, when the inductance is at the maximum state, the design time. The heat is normal, but the core can not be smoothly sucked when the core is energized, the inductance of the coil is reduced, the impedance is reduced, and the current is increased accordingly. This causes the coil current to be too large and the life is affected, so the oil, impurities, deformation, etc. hinder the iron core activity. When the power is turned on, the action is slow, and even if it is not normally fully absorbed, the coil is often energized with a state in which the impedance is less than normal, which is a factor that causes the coil to heat up.

Second, the quality of the solenoid valve coil is confirmed

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the solenoid valve. The resistance of the coil should be around 1K ohm! If the resistance of the coil is infinite, it means an open circuit. If the coil resistance tends to zero, it means a short circuit, it should be replaced with a new one.

The magnetic force of the solenoid valve coil is related to the wire diameter and the number of turns of the coil and the magnetic conductive area of the magnetic steel, that is, the magnetic flux. The DC electromagnetic coil can be pulled out from the iron core; if the AC is not available, the AC coil is pulled out from the iron core, which will cause the coil current to surge and burn the coil. There is a shorting ring inside the AC coil core to reduce vibration. A short circuit ring is not required inside the DC coil core.

It’s hard to be true that the power supply can be converted to 220VAC by the mains. What is the reason??
