More common causes of failure and analysis of electromagnetic valve use

1. The solid material is carried into the valve, causing the solenoid valve to not close properly. Most types of solenoid valves are not allowed to have any particulate matter brought into the valve, even small particles. Once there was a customer who sent a DN100 water valve back to the factory and asked for repairs. After we opened the valve, we found a small iron filing on the diaphragm. Remove it, re-clean the valve body and accessories, and re-test, the valve will work properly. We used to see small stones, raw material strips, iron filings, and even cockroaches in the valves that were sent back for repair.

2. The voltage is not enough, causing the solenoid valve to not open normally. Especially for DC24V DC12V AC24V and other relatively low voltages, it must be ensured that the voltage fluctuation range is within plus or minus 10%. If the power supply voltage is lower than 10% of the rated voltage, it may cause the solenoid valve to not open normally.

3. The solenoid valve is installed in the wrong direction. The solenoid valve of the regular manufacturer will indicate the flow direction of the medium on the valve body with arrows. When installing, it should be installed in the direction indicated by the arrow. It cannot be reversed. Otherwise, the pressure of the solenoid valve will be reversed due to the reverse pressure, resulting in failure to close normally. In addition, the solenoid valve generally needs to be installed horizontally, the coil is vertically upward, and the flow direction of the medium is consistent with the direction of the arrow of the solenoid valve. In special cases, 30° tilt is allowed. If the solenoid valve is installed vertically, it may cause the solenoid valve to be unreliable.

When using a solenoid valve, it is best to install a filter on the front end of the solenoid valve in the piping system to prevent particulate impurities from entering the solenoid valve cavity. In any case, ensure that the voltage at the power input of the solenoid valve meets the requirements, and not only the voltage at the output of the regulator meets the requirements, because it involves the voltage loss of the cable length. At the same time, the capacity of the regulator should be sufficient.
