Choosing the right gauge specifications is the key to ensuring the longevity and accuracy of your flowmeter. Here we must pay attention to the static pressure and temperature resistance options. The static pressure of the flowmeter is the degree of withstand pressure. This value should be slightly larger than the working pressure of the measured medium. Generally, the selection of 125 times can ensure that no leakage or accident will occur. The range of the selected range is the upper limit of the scale of the meter. If you choose a large one, it will reduce the accuracy of the measurement. It is small, easy to overload, and damage the flowmeter. It should be selected as the maximum flow in actual operation worth 1.2-1.33 times. Because the measured media is different, the life of the flowmeter is shortened. Here you are reminded to choose the right material. Let's take a comparison of two typical examples of measuring the medium in the electromagnetic flowmeter.
1. Medium: mud, slurry, sewage. This medium cannot be measured by a throttling device because of poor fluidity, which has a block shape, and the sand is easily blocked and has a high loss. If using an electromagnetic flowmeter, also pay attention to the choice of lining and electrode. The lining should be wear-resistant and elastic, and the urethane rubber lining is the best choice. The electrode uses a 316L electrode.
2. Medium: boiling hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia and various organic solvents. Like this highly corrosive medium throttling device, flow meters such as vortex are not suitable for measurement. Because the cost of the cost is too high and not reliable. The electromagnetic flowmeter is selected from the lining of PTFE, and the electrode is selected to meet the above requirements of the measuring medium. However, it must be ensured that the installation must meet the standard. If the leakage leak occurs, it will affect the life of the flowmeter.
Our company has sold nearly 900 electromagnetic flowmeters in the past five years, and only one of them has failed so far. Short circuit due to water leakage from the sensor case.
