Electromagnetic valve sealing material analysis introduction
Solenoid valves are common industrial equipment used in automatic control. They are used in controlled systems to control the flow of media at speeds equal to fluid-related things. Due to the need to control the various media, whether it is a gas or a liquid, the sealing should be emphasized. Therefore, for solenoid valves, sealing is very important.
At present, there are three main types of sealing materials commonly used on the market: nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, and fluororubber.
Among the three products, nitrile rubber has strong oil resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance and water resistance, and also has good adhesive properties. But power and flexibility are worse. EPDM is the lowest cost rubber compound, but it absorbs a large amount of filler. Fluororubber has high chemical resistance and is resistant to common oils and inorganic organic solvents.
Obviously, each of the three sealing materials has its own advantages and disadvantages. We must consider the fluid properties of the solenoid valve and the price factor when choosing.
