What are the reasons for the failure of the pneumatic diaphragm pump?
The pneumatic diaphragm
pump does not operate or operates very slowly:
1. Check the
filter or air
filter of the air inlet end of the diaphragm
pump for impurities.
2. Check if the diaphragm
pump air valve is stuck with the cleaning fluid cleaning valve.
3. Check if the diaphragm
pump air valve is worn and replace it with new parts if necessary.
4. Check the condition of the sealing parts of the center of the diaphragm
pump. If the wear is severe, the sealing effect will not be achieved, and the air will be discharged from the air outlet end. Please use only the GLYD ring due to its special construction.
5. Check if the piston activity in the diaphragm
pump air valve is normal.
6. Check the type of diaphragm
pump lubricant. If the added lubricant is higher than the recommended viscosity, the piston may get stuck or operate abnormally. It is recommended to use a light and anti-freezing lubricant. (ISO grade 15/5WT resistance Frozen oil)
The pneumatic diaphragm
pump has action, but the flow is small or there is no liquid at all:
1. Check the cavitation of the pneumatic diaphragm
pump to reduce the speed of the
pump and let the liquid enter the liquid chamber.
2. Check if the valve ball is stuck. If the operating liquid is incompatible with the elastomer of the
pump, the elastic body will expand. Please replace the elastomer with the appropriate material.
3. Check if the joint of the inlet of the pneumatic diaphragm
pump is completely locked and not leaking, especially the clamp near the inlet end ball needs to be locked.
Air valve of pneumatic diaphragm
pump freezes: Check if the moisture content of compressed air is too high to install air drying equipment
Air bubble is generated at the outlet of the pneumatic diaphragm
pump: check the diaphragm of the diaphragm
pump for cracks, check if the clamp is locked, especially the inlet tube clamp.
The product flows out from the air discharge port: check whether the diaphragm is broken, check whether the diaphragm and the inner and outer splints are clamped on the shaft.
The valve beeps: increase the exit or the inlet head.
Pneumatic diaphragm
pump removal and reassembly guide:
WARNING: Before repairing the diaphragm
pump, remove the air supply piping from the
pump and drain the air pressure from the diaphragm
pump. Remove all lines connecting the inlet and outlet of the
pump, and then drain the fluid from the
pump into the appropriate container. Wear protective caps, glasses, gloves.
