Introduction to the working principle of the radiation detector

At present, the domestic market specializes in the detection of non-radiation detection instruments. Generally speaking, β-rays are more difficult to measure and have weak penetrating power.

The X-ray detector utilizes the ability of X-rays to penetrate, and is generally used in the industry to detect internal injuries, breaks, or short circuits of the items that are not visible to the eyes. For example, to detect whether there is a short circuit in the internal circuit of the multilayer substrate, the X-ray can penetrate the surface of the substrate to see the internal circuit of the substrate, and there is a data receiver opposite the X-ray generator to automatically convert the received radiation into electricity. The signal is transmitted to the expansion board and converted into a specific signal in the computer. The image is displayed on the display through dedicated software, so that the internal structure of the substrate can be observed by the naked eye without using a multimeter to slowly test. .

Gamma rays have a strong penetrability, and gamma ray detection is a method of detecting the penetration and linearity of gamma rays. Although gamma rays are not directly visible to the naked eye like visible light, they can make the photographic film sensitive or can be received by a special receiver. When a gamma ray passes through (irradiates) a substance, the greater the density of the substance, the more the ray intensity is attenuated, that is, the intensity at which the ray can penetrate the substance. At this time, if the photographic film is used for receiving, the amount of light of the film is small; if it is received by the instrument, the obtained signal is weak. Therefore, when gamma rays are used to illuminate the parts to be inspected, if there are defects such as pores and slag inclusions inside the ray, the ray passing through the defective path is much less dense than the path through which the defect is not. The attenuation is less, that is, the intensity of the transmission is larger. If the film is received by the film, the amount of light is larger, and the plane projection of the defect perpendicular to the direction of the ray can be reflected from the film; if other receivers are used, the same A meter can be used to reflect the plane projection of the defect perpendicular to the ray direction and the amount of radiation transmitted. In general, gamma ray inspection is not easy to find cracks, or gamma ray inspection is not sensitive to cracks. Therefore, gamma ray detection is sensitive to stomata, slag inclusions, and incomplete penetration of volumetric defects. That is, gamma ray detection is suitable for volumetric defect detection, and is not suitable for area type defect detection.
