What are the features of the Norgren VP50 proportional pressure valve?

VP50 proportional pressure control valve integrates electronic pressure controlled gas pilot pressure valve

Features:
Gas pilot proportional pressure control valve, fast response time, adjustable amplification control, adjustable pressure range, adjustable zero point, low power consumption

Technical Parameters:

Medium: oil-free dry compressed air, filtration accuracy 5 microns

Output pressure: see summary information on the next page

Air source: up to 10 bar

Gas source sensitivity: The output pressure changes by more than 0,75% for every 1 bar change in the source pressure.

Flow rate: up to 1400 Nl/min

Response time: < 80 ms (for a 0, 1 liter load, the output pressure rises from 10% to 90%)

Air consumption: <5 N l/min

Interface size: G1/4, 1/4" NPT, base plate installation, etc., optional according to requirements

Overall error: ±0,5 % of full scale (typical correlation errors include the combination of nonlinear hysteresis, dead zone and repeatability)

Working temperature: 5° to 50°C

Temperature effect: typical value is 0,03 % / °C and zero overshoot at full scale

Protection level: IP 65 under normal conditions

Anti-vibration performance: <3% of span, 3g sine, 10 to 150Hz (3 axes)

Installation location: threaded installation

Weight: about 625g

material:
Aluminum housing, die cast zinc end cap

Electromagnetic compatibility:
This valve complies with the European Union's EN50081-2 and EN50082-2 standards. According to this specification, shielded cables must be used.

Valve settings:
1. Ensure that the air supply pressure is 1 bar higher than the required output pressure. The valve pressure was adjusted from 0 to 100% for 10 cycles.
2. Set the control signal to 10% of full scale and then monitor its output pressure with a precision pressure gauge at its output. Determine the pressure value to be within +-0.5% of the ideal value.
3. Increase the control signal to 100% and check again that the valve output pressure is within +-0.5% of the ideal value.
4. When the control signal rises (causing the output pressure to rise from 10% to 100%), check each signal transition and the output pressure is stable at the correct level. If the proportional valve becomes unstable, the gain must be reduced.
5. If the gain changes, the preset zero and range must also be re-set until the desired set point is reached.

Valve performance optimization:
The VP50 has been factory set for optimum performance in most applications. However, in some special applications, it is still necessary to optimize the performance of the VP50. Zero, span and gain are interactive in operation. In general, for loads greater than 100 CC, the gain can be adjusted to get better performance. (For smaller loads, see the table below.) When the VP50 is to be set to the ideal operating conditions, the gain sensor can be rotated counterclockwise to reduce oscillation while observing the output. Rotate clockwise for best dynamic performance.
