What are the NORGREN proportional control valve selection parameters?

NORGREN proportional pressure control valve belongs to the series of control valves. Its main function is to adjust the pressure, flow, temperature and other parameters of the medium. It is the final control component in the process loop. The regulating valve can be divided into straight stroke and angular stroke according to the stroke characteristics. Straight strokes include: single seat valve, double seat valve, sleeve valve, angle valve, three-way valve, diaphragm valve; angular stroke includes: butterfly valve, ball valve, eccentric rotary valve, full-function ultra-light regulating valve. According to the driving mode, the regulating valve can be divided into: pneumatic regulating valve, electric regulating valve and hydraulic regulating valve; according to the adjustment form, it can be divided into: regulating type, cutting type, adjusting and cutting type; according to flow characteristics, it can be divided into: linear, equal percentage , parabola, quick opening. The regulating valve is suitable for air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil and other media.
The NORGREN proportional pressure control valve positioner is determined by a combination of actuators. For slower production processes, such as temperature control or level control, the dynamics of the valve are generally not a limiting factor in terms of controllability. For faster systems, such as flow control of liquids, the regulating valve may have significant hysteresis and must be considered in terms of controllability of the circuit.
1. The main control parameters of NORGREN proportional pressure control valve are: nominal diameter, flow control range, design nominal pressure, medium allowable temperature range, working pressure difference range, control precision and so on. It is a dynamic balancing valve.
2. Install the self-operated flow control valve at the position where the flow rate is constant on the hydraulic pipe network, and set the valve according to the required flow rate. When the working pressure difference between the front and the back of the valve changes within the rated range, the valve automatically according to the differential pressure signal. Changing the opening of the valve maintains the flow through the valve constant.
3. In the constant flow system, and for some equipment such as boilers, chillers, etc., to maintain a constant flow to ensure safety and improve the efficiency of equipment operation, self-operated flow control valves should be installed.
4. Install a self-operated flow control valve to allow the loop to operate at the set flow rate of the valve at the inlet of a constant flow valve that is not fitted with a temperature control valve or that the user cannot adjust autonomously.
5. The indoor heating is a vertical single-tube spanning metering and charging system (constant flow system), and the heat inlet should be provided with a self-operated flow control valve.
6. In order to operate the valve in the optimum area, the self-operated flow control valve should be selected according to the range of flow and working pressure difference (note: the working pressure difference range of imported products is much narrower than that of the national product), and should not directly follow the tube. The diameter of the valve is selected.
7. If the actual working pressure difference of the flow control valve exceeds the working pressure difference range of the product, other adjustment equipment should be used for initial adjustment.
8. The usual self-operated flow control valve does not have a shutdown function, and an additional shut-off valve is required.
9. Care should be taken to prevent impurities in the water from clogging the capillary or bellows diaphragm parts of the valve and, if necessary, installing a water filter in front of the valve.
